Lab Activity October 28
Go to Google Images and choose an action picture. Think of an activity you enjoy or are interested in or think of a favorite movie and find a picture from that. Copy your picture into Microsoft Word and write a paragraph about it. (See an example paragraph below)
If you finish this, go to the Present Perfect Powerpoint (see blog link on post below) and practice.
EXAMPLE
Three boys are sitting in the back of a college class, and they are bored. The teacher began talking about the history of the world 15 minutes ago. His voice was quiet and the way he talked about history was uninteresting, so the boys all fell asleep. Two of the boys have their heads down on their desks. One of them is sitting up, but his cap is over his eyes and I think his eyes are closed. I don't know what the teacher is going to do, but if he sees them, I think he will be very upset. Maybe he will shout at them and tell them to wake up. I am sure the boys are not going to learn anything in class today, and I think they will fail the test! I also sometimes have a boring class and want to fall asleep, but I try not to make it so obvious to the teacher!
- Write a topic sentence describing the picture.
- Write at least two sentences about what happened before the picture.
- Write at least two sentences about what is happening now in the picture.
- Write at least two sentences about what is going to happen/will happen in the future.
- Write a conclusion.
- Edit:
- Does every sentence have a subject and verb?
- Are your verbs correct?
- Did you double space?
- Print: Find the printer for this room: BE 3184.
If you finish this, go to the Present Perfect Powerpoint (see blog link on post below) and practice.
